Our 2026 series of events brings you an exclusive run of Pairs competitions played at some of the most prestigious courses in the UK, all ranked in the Top 100.

Hosted by the expert team behind Golfbreaks and Mashie Golf, these one-day events offer an unforgettable experience for amateur golfers who want to compete at iconic venues. Each event includes a welcome gift, exciting on-course competitions, and a halfway refreshment hut to keep you going! The winning pair at every event will secure their place at our Finals Day, hosted at a leading UK course, making each event not just a great day out but also a gateway to something even bigger!

On the northern edge of London lies The Shire, a course that feels refreshingly different from anything else in the capital.

The only Seve Ballesteros–designed course in the UK, it is full of flair and imagination-exactly as you would expect from the great man himself. The routing is bold and varied, with six par threes, six par fours, and six par fives, creating a rhythm that keeps you engaged from the first tee to the last green. Wide fairways invite you to be aggressive, but water hazards, clever bunkering, and angled greens ensure that strategy is always rewarded over reckless play.

The Shire’s most famous hole, the par-three 18th, provides a dramatic finale, played over water to a green set right in front of the clubhouse terrace-a perfect stage for both heroics and heartbreak.

Throughout the round, the course asks for creativity: shaping shots, taking on risk-and-reward carries, and plotting your way around its mix of open parkland and water-lined stretches. It is a course that never feels repetitive, with each hole presenting a fresh challenge and a new opportunity to summon your inner Seve.

Yes, we accept solo entrants to our open amateur golf events and will try to pair you up with other solo entrants. All you need to do is pick the tee time you want and book in as usual just selecting one and we'll do the rest.

Our events are open to all golfers, we welcome all combinations of pairs including male, female and
mixed, as well as solo golfers.

Can I enter the event as a solo golfer?

Yes, we accept solo entrants into our open Amateur Golf Pairs Events and will do our best to pair you with another solo golfer, subject to availability. Please note that we do not receive many solo entries, so pairing may not always be possible. If this occurs, we will contact you before the event day to discuss your options. Solo golfers are not eligible to qualify for our Finals Day. To enter as a solo golfer, simply go to your selected event, choose your tee time for 1 player, and book online.
