Designed in 1908 by five-time Open Champion J.H. Taylor, the championship Red Course is the embodiment of classic heathland golf. Firm, fast fairways, strategic bunkering, and subtly raised greens create a course of enduring character and challenge. Proud hosts of Regional Qualifying for The Open Championship, the Red Course has also welcomed the English Amateur and European Tour First Stage Qualifying since 2011.

Yes, we accept solo entrants to our open amateur golf events and will try to pair you up with other solo entrants. All you need to do is pick the tee time you want and book in as usual just selecting one and we'll do the rest.
