Course Designer:
The course at St Anne’s Old Links was originally laid out by George Lowe, who was also the first professional at the club. In 1909, the layout was extended to 18 holes in partnership with Sandy Herd, the 1902 Open Champion, blending Lowe’s intimate understanding of the seaside terrain with Herd’s strategic insight.
