Golf Course Information

Tucked into the folds of the Surrey countryside, Tandridge Golf Club stands as one of England’s most characterful and enduring inland courses. Originally crafted in 1924 by Harry Colt, with later refinements that honour his philosophy, it embodies the very essence of golden-age design — strategic rather than severe, charming rather than ostentatious. The routing drifts seamlessly across heather-flecked slopes and through avenues of mature woodland, where elevation changes and clever angles test both nerve and nuance. Every hole feels distinct, shaped by Colt’s trademark bunkering and beautifully contoured greens that reward thoughtful placement and a deft touch.

Course Designer:

Designed in 1924 by the celebrated architect Harry Colt, Tandridge reflects the hallmarks that made him one of golf’s greatest strategic thinkers. Colt’s routing makes full use of the sloping Surrey landscape, weaving holes through woodland and over natural ridges to create endlessly interesting angles of play. Thoughtful bunkering, elevated approaches, and subtly contoured greens encourage intelligent, positional golf rather than brute force. It’s a classic example of Colt’s golden-age artistry — elegant, strategic, and perfectly in tune with the land.
